I am a philosopher. I completed a Ph.D. at the University of Southampton, where I teach. I work for The Aristotelian Society. I am also the founder of The Human Front.
I work for the NHS. I am currently employed by Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust as a Senior Clinical Scientist.
I recently entered the world of poetry, albeit as a complete novice.

I am a clinically registered Senior Clinical Scientist in Clinical Scientific Computing (CSC) at Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust. I started this role in February 2026.
The CSC team are experts on safely developing, deploying, and evaluating AI in NHS contexts. We comprise clinical scientists, medical physicists, AI engineers, software developers, clinicians, and project managers.
My role in the team is to lead on AI ethics, run our website, contribute to the department’s research output, and train staff.
From September 2013 to December 2023 I worked as a medical physicist, specialising in nuclear medicine and radiology.
As a medical physicist, I developed and implemented novel imaging techniques and assisted in protecting patients, the public, and members of staff from radiation exposure. My chief aim was to make positive differences to people’s lives. I always relished the opportunity to train the next generation of scientists.
I completed the Scientist Training Programme (STP) with the NHS in 2016.
I have a postgraduate degree in medical physics from the University of Liverpool. I graduated with an M.Sc.(Dist) in 2016.
I have an undergraduate degree in physics from the University of Manchester. I graduated with an M.Phys.(Hons) in 2013.
I have published numerous research papers, many of which as leading author. I have also spoken at and chaired sessions at national conferences.
